The American Ismaili Chamber of Commerce was conceived by Prince Amyn at the time of His Highness the Aga Khan’s Golden Jubilee celebration in 2008. Over the next years, a research team led several focus groups across the U.S. and explored the needs, potential functions, and overall make up. In 2011, the team began its search for an Officer who was hired in April 2012.
The Chamber was officially registered as a 501-c-6 in Oct 2012. One by one, AICC Founding Members joined the cause and pledged their support for the broader goal- to provide a platform for the Ismaili business community.
In June 2016, a new Executive Director joined the Chamber. With the Diamond Jubilee in sight, AICC is positioning itself to deliver greater value to its Members, strengthen its network, and truly represent the Aga Khan Ismaili business community.
